Value Way has been selected for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) Africa Market Vitality Program (AfDX) (アフリカ市場活力創出事業).

About AfDX

The AfDX program is METI’s initiative to support Japanese companies in building digital infrastructure partnerships with African markets. The program focuses on deploying technology solutions that create mutual value for Japanese businesses and African economies.

Value Way’s Project

Our AfDX project targets the deployment of farm-to-export coffee traceability infrastructure in Uganda’s Mt. Elgon region:

• Farm-level data collection — soil sampling, fertilizer use, yield recording at smallholder cooperatives
• Carbon footprint measurement — ISO 14067-compliant calculation from farm gate to export port
• Digital lot management — linking physical coffee lots to verified digital records
• Buyer-facing dashboard — enabling importers and roasters to verify origin and sustainability data
