Value Way has been selected for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) Global South Co-Creation Program (令和7年度グローバルサウス未来志向型共創等事業 FS事業).

About the Program

The Global South Co-Creation Program supports Japanese startups and SMEs in building business infrastructure partnerships with emerging economies. Value Way’s project focuses on extending coffee traceability and carbon footprint measurement to new producing origins beyond East Africa.

Our Approach

Building on the traceability infrastructure established through our Uganda operations, this program enables Value Way to:

• Scale data collection systems to new origins with different production practices and regulatory environments
• Adapt carbon footprint models for diverse coffee varieties (Arabica and Robusta) across multiple altitude zones
• Establish local partnerships with cooperatives, exporters, and government agencies in target countries
• Validate interoperability of our CoffeeID (formerly CoPASS™) platform across supply chains with varying levels of digital maturity

Timeline

• August 2025: Program selection
• FY2025–2026: Feasibility study and infrastructure deployment
