Uganda Robusta Traceability

Value Way’s flagship project in the Mt. Elgon region of Eastern Uganda.

Overview

This project establishes end-to-end traceability for Robusta coffee produced by smallholder farmers in the Mbale district. By connecting farm-level data with processing, export, and import records, we create a complete digital thread for each coffee lot.

Impact

Through detailed carbon footprint measurement (ISO 14067 / GHG Protocol Scope 3), we quantify the environmental impact of each lot — from farm gate to destination port. This data enables buyers to make informed procurement decisions and supports producers in accessing premium markets.
